I fell in love with this series from the start. It has everything I could want in a store and so much more. Everything from love/romance to amazing world building to interesting myths, and I just keep loving it more with each new book.

Once again Violet Eden faces an impossible choice ... and the consequences are unimaginable.

Violet has come to terms with the fact that being part angel, part human, means her life will never be as it was.

Now Violet has something Phoenix - the exiled angel who betrayed her - will do anything for, and she has no intention of letting it fall into his hands. The only problem is that he has something she needs too.

Not afraid to raise the stakes, Phoenix seemingly holds all the power, always one step ahead. And when he puts the final pieces of the prophecy together, it doesn't take him long to realise exactly who he needs in order to open the gates of Hell.

With the help of surprising new allies, ancient prophecies are deciphered, a destination set and, after a shattering confrontation with her father, Violet leaves for the islands of Greece without knowing if she will have a home to return to...
One of my favorite things about this series is the overall story. Yes there is romance, but it's not the center point. We get a pretty intriguing plot that carries over into each book. The world of the Grigori that Jessica has structured and battles they have to face are so thoroughly thought out and intense. I'd read these just for that.

But, as I said, there is also romance. One that I love because it is so beautifully done. Yet, with each new book it feels as though Jessica is trying to rip our hearts out. The connection and heartbreak between Violet and Lincoln literally drips off the pages, it's so strong and intense. I've read very few that are like that, where I'm so completely sucked in.

Along with these two we are introduced to new characters as well as some old ones. There is always something going on. Whether it's discovering something about one of their friends that they hadn't known before or bringing in a new antagonist to make things even more crazy, things are never dull for the Grigori. Oh, and there's one sort of new character that comes into the picture that I definitely wasn't expecting. Things for the next book are definitely going to be intense.

Jessica has become one of my favorite authors because of this series and I can hardly wait for Endless, book 4, which should be coming out in the U.S. later this year. I don't really have any details to spoil, but I have heard that it's even more heart wrenching than the others. Which I can't even imagine considering how these other three are, but we shall see. The good news though is that a 5th book has been announced.
