One of the things I like the best about new books, is getting to see the pretty new covers up close and personal. Especially those that already look so amazing on my computer screen. Getting the chance to hold that beautiful book with that amazing cover is just so much fun.
So, I wanted to share my top... FAVORITE BOOK COVERS...
It's so hard for me to put covers in a certain order of how much I like them, but here you go. These are my top favorites for the year.
I absolutely love the holidays! There's something so peaceful and beautiful about this time of year.
And as we near our way to the end of 2014 and the beginning of 2015, I'm sure we find ourselves reflecting on how we met our goals for the year, and how we'd like to improve ourselves for the next. We try to work on bettering ourselves and making the most out of the next year ahead.
With that in mind, my next in the End of Year Countdown is... CHARACTER GROWTH...
Each of these books had one or more character(s) that went through some pretty big changes in these particular stories. Some of them were good, some of them were bad, and some of them set the stage for so much more to come.
It's that special time again as the year comes to an end (a new one on the horizon) and we reflect on on 2014. At least on the books we read this year, and there were some pretty fantastic ones.
So, to start off our countdown I have... SERIES THAT ENDED THIS YEAR...
Each of these series were absolutely phenomenal, and I was so sad to see them end. And with the exception of one (which I won't name) I feel that each of these books ended just right for the readers and for the series.
With this year winding down, I thought I'd do my favorite End of Year Top Ten lists. How does that sound? Leading up to New Years Eve, I'll post my tops in books for this year. Please feel free to tell me some of your favorites too!

talents are getting stronger, and with the elusive Black Swan group
ignoring her calls for help, she’s determined to find her
kidnappers—before they come after her again.
But a daring
mistake leaves her world teetering on the edge of war, and causes many
to fear that she has finally gone too far. And the deeper Sophie
searches, the farther the conspiracy stretches, proving that her most
dangerous enemy might be closer than she realizes.
nail-biting third book in the Keeper of the Lost Cities series, Sophie
must fight the flames of rebellion, before they destroy everyone and
everything she loves.
Yay! Another book in this adorable series and it's still not over! So much took place in book, I can barely catch my breath. Shannon outdid herself and I can't wait for more.
We definitely get to know our favorite characters even more in Everblaze, especially Keefe and Fitz, which I really enjoyed. They each have a great relationship with Sophie and I love that she doesn't take advantage of that. She cherishes each of her friendships, even if some of them do drive her crazy.
Things were definitely amped up in this book and I'm not kidding. Cute moments, sad moments, crazy moments, and even UGH moments. I don't want to give anything away for those who haven't read it yet, but just know that you will be in for a wild ride.
Sophie is one of my favorite characters. She's come a long way in these books, but still has quite a bit of growing up to do. I can't even imagine what will be in store for her and us in the next book and I can only cross my fingers that there might be more after that.
Hurry and get your hands on this book/series, you won't be sorry!
Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, which spotlights upcoming releases we are eagerly anticipating.
(Coming December 2014)
Murder, kidnapping, and forbidden romance abound in this thrilling sequel to Sara B. Larson's acclaimed YA debut, DEFY.
continues to harbor a secret love for the newly crowned King Damian,

on the once friendly nation of Blevon, Alexa knows things are not what
they seem. Once again the fate of her country hangs in the balance. Will

it's too late?
Defy was an exciting debut and I've been anxiously awaiting it's sequel, Ignite, since I finished book 1. There should definitely be a lot more discover in the world and I can't wait to find out what happens in for Alexa and Damian after the events at the end of Defy.
