Dimitri Kronastia Character Interview:

ATB: Thank you for joining us today, Dmitri. So, to start off with, why don’t you tell us a little about yourself? 

DK:Oh, there’s not much to tell.  Contrary to what you’ve heard about me, I like to keep a pretty low profile. At least, enough so that that nothing can ever be traced back to me. 

ATB:You’ve obviously had to take on different personas throughout the years, would you mind sharing a couple of them? Was there anything about them that you enjoyed?

DK: Of course, as you’ve learned, my real name is Oxiriz, or “Osiris” as it tends to be written these days.  In the new world, I was also sometimes called Yum’k or Hauham.  Did I enjoy them? Having whole civilizations serving your every whim? Yeah, a little. It’s good to be the God. 

Outside of the ancient world, however, I haven’t made too many grossly public incarnations. Well, there was that one, but luckily the  details around Rasputin’s life are mixed in mythology.

ATB: How would you describe your relationship with Victoria over the years?

DK: Well, hindsight is 20-20, isn’t it? I never understood for so many years why she was not only upset with me… Well, actually I thought I knew that part quite well. I never could have guessed what her true motivations were. And, you know, through the years, sometimes I was mad at her too, but more for selfish reasons. I wanted her to just… listen to me for five minutes. Thank goodness that’s all behind us now.

ATB: Did you ever wonder why she started the game of cat and mouse between you two?  Why she started The Order?

DK: Believe it or not, I blamed it on her humanity. Humans like to be revered, they like to be regaled. No way to deny that she was a pretty big wig in ancient times. I thought she had just gotten too comfortable with the benefits of the position and gathered a nice little group of softheads to keep fanning her flame. And, to piss me off. She knew my primary purpose was to keep our existence on the down-low, and she off and goes creating a secretive institution whose whole purpose seemed to be making sure that knowledge was never lost. As for the cat-and-mouse thing… you’ve heard the line about a woman scorned, right?

ATB: What has been your impression of Sheppard Smyth?

DK: At first, I was jealous. I thought maybe Vick had feelings for the sot. Later, when I found out why she was really protecting him, I felt kind of sorry for the bastard. I mean, I’ve suffered from Victoria’s plotting too, but Shep… He lost his wife because of her.

ATB: Thank you for answering our questions today. I have just one more for you. What are your plans with Victoria now? Any areas of the world you’d like to return to with her?

DK: Actually, Victoria and I are planning on returning to Altunatus. Well, I’m returning, and she’s going for the first time. She is royalty, after all. And me… well, I might be hopping to petition for the honor of marrying her. Might.

And if that’s turned down, maybe we’ll try Vegas.
